Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Memovox With Silver Dial

When it comes to vintage inspired watches, few brands step up to the plate quite like Jaeger-LeCoultre. With an extensive catalog spanning from the brand's founding in 1833 and some of the highest level of execution in the market today, collections like the Polaris and the Master Control are the things of enthusiast dream, bringing vintage styles into the modern luxury market.

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Memovox is under-the-radar but one of the most iconic models in Jaeger-LeCoultre's history. This interesting alarm design was introduced in the 1950s, competing with the Vulcain Cricket. Several versions of the Memovox were produced in different sizes, case materials, dial configurations, and with different types of movements. What's interesting about alarm watches more broadly is that they are fairly rare. There just aren't many watchmakers at all that have made alarm watches a significant part of their catalogs. Even still, because Jaeger-LeCoultre is so large and has legitimately mastered so many different types of complications, the Memovox, as great as it is, doesn't necessarily spring to mind when thoughts turn to the Grande Maison. Even so, the Memovox ticks on, filling a gap in the watch market that most buyers might not even know is there.

The alarm watch is likely best suited for more formal wear, as demonstrated by its finely polished case, but nonetheless, it still has some incredible versatility brought about by its sportier vintage style, steel case, and 50-meter water resistance. At 40mm by 14mm, the watch has a noticeable weight, providing an appreciated sturdiness without being overbearing, the size and weight working well on wrists both large and small.
This particular Master Control Memovox is in overall excellent pre-owned condition, which indicates that there are signs of very light wear, possibly some small scratches on the case. The case has been professionally refinished. The caseback displays information about the model as well as the watch's serial and reference numbers. Both of the original crowns are correctly signed. During our quality control check, any necessary adjustments are made to ensure the watch is functioning as intended.

The dial, crowns, case, movement, strap, and buckle are all signed by Jaeger-LeCoultre. This watch is delivered with its original box, papers dated 4/26/2011, and manuals.

*NOTE: Please be aware that this watch comes with an alligator leather strap as an accessory. If the watch is shipped to the state of California or any international destination, we will not be able to include the alligator strap due to laws regarding the sale and shipment of exotic leather goods. In this case we will include a fashiontourbillon.com strap.
The watchmaker's watchmaker. La Grande Maison. JLC. There's only one Jaeger-LeCoultre, and since Antoine LeCoutre founded his Vallée de Joux workshop in 1833, the company has remained almost peerless when it comes to horological innovation. Since 1833, more than 1,242 calibers have been developed by the brand, receiving over 400 patents in the process. Starting in 1903, a watchmaker named Edmond Jaeger teamed up with the LeCoultre company, resulting in the foundation of today's Jaeger-LeCoultre. Now part of the Richemont Group, some of the brand's most well-known watches include the Reverso, the Polaris, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Memovox, the Atmos clock, and many, many more timepieces.
