Grand Seiko Diver 200M Limited Edition SBGX339

While the specs of this Grand Seiko dive watch might not immediately jump off the screen at you (200m water resistance, stainless steel case, quartz movement), it's a watch that has an immediate sense of quality on the wrist.

The 120-click bezel is easy to grasp and ratchets smoothly with zero give and the hour markers and hour and minute hands are filled with long-lasting Lumi-Brite. The 9F61 Quartz caliber inside is accurate to plus or minus 10 seconds per year (!), a fact worth considering when comparing the SBGX339 to similarly priced luxury dive watches with mechanical movements. The entire case has been expertly decorated with Grand Seiko's signature Zaratsu polish that leaves zero distortion, and the case design was specifically engineered to allow for quick and easy maintenance to wash up any leftover sand or salt water after a dive.

Seiko, as a whole, has a long and prestigious history of dive watch production, and the SBGX339 represents the premium position of one of the Japanese company's core competencies.
This particular Grand Seiko Limited Edition is in overall excellent pre-owned condition, which indicates that there are signs of very light wear, possibly some small scratches on the case. The case has been professionally refinished. The caseback displays information about the model as well as the watch's serial and reference numbers. During our quality control check, any necessary adjustments are made to ensure the watch is functioning as intended.
The Japanese brand Grand Seiko released its first watch in 1960, challenging the perception that the Swiss were the undisputed masters of fine watchmaking. In the nearly 60 years since the first Grand Seiko, the company has built a reputation worldwide for producing some of the most elegantly designed timepieces while developing innovative technologies, such as Spring Drive. Even while maintaining its high quality standards, Grand Seiko delivers tons of value in its watches, making it popular with collectors at all levels. In 2017, Grand Seiko became its own brand within Seiko's expansive watchmaking portfolio.
