F.P. Journe Octa Automatique Réserve 40mm In PlatinumThe Octa collection was built around a self-winding movement – Journe's first automatic caliber; his third overall in-house movement – that would support additional complications without changing the caliber dimensions. No matter what complication Journe has offered in the Octa line, the movement has always measured 30mm x 5.7mm or thinner. The Octa caliber 1300.3 used in this watch is also constructed from solid 18k rose gold, offers 160 hours of running autonomy using a single mainspring barrel, and a free-sprung balance with a flat balance spring. Since its 2001 debut, the Octa has served as the heart of every self-winding F.P Journe watch, and the complication's it has been enhanced with include a power reserve, as seen in today's watch; UTC; moon-phase; and a perpetual calendar Today's watch was produced from 2007 to 2018 and is offered inside a 40mm platinum case. The dial has a silver tone with a barleycorn finish; the complications are all spread out across the dial: power reserve at nine o'clock, running seconds (non hacking) at four o'clock, and a large double-digit date aperture between 11 and 12 o'clock. The other characteristic aesthetic elements of the Octa line are all here as well. The sinuous hands, the polished domed bezel, the complex case geometry with flared lugs, the stylized Arabic numerals – it's all here. The watch is delivered with its original F.P. Journe box, papers dated 4/9/2020, manuals, and cleaning cloth. *NOTE: Please be aware that this watch comes with an alligator leather strap as an accessory. If the watch is shipped to any international destination, we will not be able to include the alligator strap due to laws regarding the sale and shipment of exotic leather goods. In this case, we will include a fashiontourbillon.com strap. |
